Cake!

This is not a sponsored post in any way, but I just wanted to share how amazing Savoy Bakery in East Harlem is.  Truly, phenomenally, deliciously amazing.

They are right between our apartment and the subway, which means Chris and I stop here almost daily for pre-work coffee.  Sometimes we even get a pre-work pastry, which is always phenomenal.  On top of breakfast fare, they also have DESSERTS!  Two weeks ago, Chris got me a black forest cake from Savoy to celebrate my belated birthday.  Coming home to cake was an unexpected surprise!  I’m not at all a fan of cherry-flavored foods, but this cake blew me away.  It was creamy and chocolately, with real cherries in the center!

I’m all about supporting local artists and local business, and I’m also all about eating great food, so I can’t recommend Savoy enough.  If you’re ever on 110th St and Lexington in New York City, do yourself a favor and stop by!
