Tarra & Ashley Sneak Peek | New York City Elopement Photographer

Today was such a fun, amazing day!  I shot an elopement with  Tarra and Ashley, who flew in from California to get married.  I also had the privilege of being their witness and signing their marriage licence.  After their ceremony, the three of us went all around lower Manhattan taking pictures.

I have so many wonderful photos to go through (The weather was perfect! They rode a carousel! Someone gave them a piece of the Brooklyn Bridge to take home! What????), but for now, here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store.

Tim and Tina had their wedding in Columbus, Ohio at The Bluestone.  Both of them were so easy-going, and I absolutely loved working with them. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come!

Evan and Rachel’s wedding at the Green Building was just lovely.  In my last post, I shared their video, but there were lots of beautiful photos as well.  They both looked so happy the entire time, and you could tell they put great care into crafting all the aspects of their wedding day.  Rachel and Evan, thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding, and I wish you nothing but the best!

Evan and Rachel’s Wedding Video | Brooklyn Wedding Videographer

Evan and Rachel were married on a beautiful day in June at the Green Building in Brooklyn.

The three of us were first introduced at a party, and I was honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer.  Their wedding was lovely, and I’ll be posting some of their photos very soon.

During the day, I experimented a bit with shooting video, and my fiance, Chris, cut the footage together into a wedding mini-movie.

I’d never been to the Green Building before, but it was a really cool space, and it was made even cooler by all the thought and details these two put into the day.  They also had an amazing band, Roosevelt Dime, that really got everyone in the mood to dance.

These two look so happy together, and you can see just how much fun everyone had that day!

Coworkers

These days, I divide by time between 3 jobs- My job as a photo producer, my growing photography business, and Dark Ink.  These are all “full-time,” but I get to do a lot of the work for Sarah Hoppes Photography and Dark Ink Pictures from my home office.  That means I get to spend all my work breaks with the world’s most squeezable coworkers!

Photos, top to bottom:

1. Izzy- She’s a year old, but could pass for a kitten.  We adopted her from the humane society, and she’s mellowed out the other cats considerably.  Pip acts like she’s his litter mate, and he cries hysterically when they aren’t in a room together.

2. Oliver- He’s 1 year, 3 months old, but he’s about 3 times Izzy’s size.  He’s our second cat. We found him in a vacant lot on 1st Ave and 99th St.  We tried very hard when we found him to argue that we really couldn’t adopt another cat, and we failed miserably.  We decided to adopt him within hours.

3. Pip- He’s 2 years old, and nothing but sweetness to all the people he meets.  I found him beside a dumpster on 3rd Ave last April, and he’s since lived with us in 2 different apartments. He loves Izzy, but he’s still getting used to having another boy around, so he bullies Oliver.  He definitely thinks he’s the one in charge at our house.

Was this post a shameless way to display a few selects of the HUNDREDS of pictures I have of my cats? Maybe.  Am I sorry? Not really.  Enjoy!
